Do You Need To Sweep & Vacuum Floors to Get Rid of Lice?

To answer this question with a bit of scientific logic, researchers went to a school in Queensland where they looked at the entire school's population of 2,230 children. All from 118 classrooms, and found that 466 of the kids across 108 classrooms had head lice. That's a lot of kids with lice.

So when all of the floors were vacuumed, guess what they found in the vacuum filter? No lice at all. None. Zero were recovered from the classroom floors at all! Which means that lice don't reside on the floor, and you really don't need to worry about that area when cleaning for lice.
